Ack! Buying a dishwasher was a slippery slope. Does buying a second major appliance count as a shopping binge? I’m going to say yes.

Anyway, we couldn’t resist. We were tired of looking at this.

Lowe’s had a sale on a Whirlpool French door fridge (Whirlpool GZ25FSRXYY, to be exact). So, typically, this fridge is $2,499.

With a November sale, it was down to $1,699. But the local Sears was offering it for $1,589, so we took advantage of Lowe’s price match guarantee. That, with our 5% off from using our Lowe’s card, put the fridge just above $1500!!! Yes, that warrants three exclamation marks.

So far, we love it. It has a slide out deli drawer, which many French doors have, but this one is accessible from the outside. Very convenient for storing fruits and veggies.

The water and ice dispenser is great too. The lighting is fun, but the best feature is the measured pour. It’s set on 8 ounces, so if I want a glass of water, I put it under there, set the auto pour, and walk away while I do something else.

The freezer has ample storage too. We were scared a frozen pizza box wouldn’t fit, but it does!

There’s so much storage in this thing. Even after a full grocery run, it was looking kinda empty, haha.

So there ya go. A fun present to ourselves. We both agreed this would be our early Christmas present to ourselves. Have you bought yourself any early Christmas presents? Any fridge upgrades on your horizon?
