I’m tired of looking at the boring walls in our bathroom. It’s builder-grade blah. Here’s what the bathroom looks like now, plus some bathroom inspiration ideas at the bottom.

I love the glass door shower. I don’t love the honey-tone wood work. Or the lighting, which is straight out of a contractor pack.

Here’s another look with different lighting. The room doesn’t get any natural light, but the light above the shower makes everything less yellow. Again, everything about this is builder-grade. Frameless mirror really wants a frame.

The towel racks are plastic, but mounted with ceramic. Kind of weird. The vanity top is an annoying creamy color too. I can’t help it, but I’m crisp white kinda gal.

And another angle. You can see our dual flusher!

And now for the master bathroom inspiration part. I’ve been perusing Pinterest and came up with a few ideas to perk up the room.

bathroom inspiration

  1. New bathroom hardware
  2. New light fixture
  3. Frame out the mirror
  4. Paint the walls!
  5. Framed black and white art
  6. Maybe frame that art with some antique-y cool frames?
  7. New vanity top. Granite-like, perhaps?
  8. Bring in some fake greenery.
  9. New rug

I don’t know the source for any of this stuff. Sorry. I really just Googled and pulled stuff from the Interwebs. But, as we update the bathroom, I will keep track of where I find things.
