June was a slow month with improvements around the house. There was a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff that didn’t warrant a blog post (I fixed a leak in the kitchen! And weeded the garden a lot) and we went on vacation for a few days. But in case you missed any of the posts in June, here they are.

Old Projects, Revisited

After I finished the hall bathroom makeover and photographed it in May, I realized I had placed the glass shelf above the toilet entirely too high! I fixed that and hemmed the floor-to-ceiling shower curtain here.

I finally got  on decorating our console table. SPOILER ALERT: The frames above the sofa have. stuff. in. them. Seriously. I did it. Post forthcoming.

I thought the kitchen needed a bit of color. What started as an accent wall turned into a full kitchen painting. It’s a very subtle color change, but it works really well the with tile backsplash and gray in the other rooms.

New Toy

I’ve been toying with the idea of writing unbiased and unaffiliated reviews of big purchases we make. First up, a reel mower. I’ve mowed the lawn twice now and, oddly, enjoyed it.

The New Big Project

I talked about different pricey projects we want to take on and how we decided to tackle our deck first. Yes, deck deconstruction is happening! More on that tomorrow.

What’s Happening In July?

We have a few significant projects in mind for this month.

  • Finish rebuilding the deck
  • Show off some new things in the living room
  • Get our guest room in better shape
  • Maybe get adventurous and try a sewing project..??!

How was your month? Starting any new projects?
